Yayay its almost christmas!!!

Three of my closest friends celebrated their 21st birthdays in the same week. We decided that the best way to properly celebrate with them was to go to london for a night out. 7 of us headed down to london and we located our apartment. We stayed in Shepards Bush this was fairly far out but it meant it was super super cheap. The apartment we stayed in was so nice although we didn't spend a huge amount of time in it. We went out for dinner to Gauchos which is a steak place. Although this was an expensive place we decided that as it was for three peoples birthday so we could afford it. The steak was amazing but I guess if you pay that much you expect it to be pretty good. We then went back to get ready for the night out, we also enjoyed a cheeky caterpillar cake. For the night out we headed to Soho and just went on a bar crawl. We went in about 4 or 5 bars and all just danced and had loads of fun. This was a great night out.

Hopefully see you again for a nightout London.

This year I head back to uni dreading it, as I'm going into my final year and I just know I have a lot of work ahead. I moved into my new house in selly oak which I do like a lot and the girls I live with are great. My room this year is super cute and very cool ( I show you at some point). We decided that as it is the last time we can go wild and enjoy freshers we should make some effort to go to the events the uni has put on. We had a crazy time and all acted like freshers. The strange thing was more third years were at the events than anyone else. We had Greg James and Charlie Sloth for the closing night of freshers, I wasnt really that bothered about seeing them but went along just for the night out. I would defiantly say if your starting uni or even in second or third year. GO to you Freshers, don't think your to cool because its something you can never do again.

Hey hey hey,

I bet I know what your all thinking, ANOTHER HOLIDAY!!!
but this one was my family holiday which my parents pay for so it would be rude not to go ;) This year we went back to Portugal, I think this was my fourth time going. We have stayed in the same place for three times now and its really quite and relaxing. We stay in a small place called Villa Sol just outside Vilamoura. I went out there for 2 weeks and the weather was lush. Not as hot as in turkey but that was good as it meant you could stay out and enjoy it for longer. This year for the first time my boyfriend (dan) joined me on my family holiday. He came out for 8 day which was really good fun. My sister and her boyfriend also came for out for a week and there was a few cross over days, we went to the local water park although it was quite small it was still a fun day out. Im off to Portugal again next year but this time it will be for dans brothers wedding. Portugal just can't get enough of me.

This summer I have been lucky enough to experience lots of festival and I still have more to come. This year myself and my girl pals decided to head to EDC. As we live to Milton Keynes this festival was just round the corner. We went with a large group but split off and only spent a small amount of time together. The day was super hot, one of the hottest days of the year so far. It was really fun to be able to go to a festival with my close friends and the weather made it even more perfect. The only issue we had was we accidentally missed Jamie Jones which I was gutted about. Oh well maybe next year eyyy!

I've just come back from an incredible holiday in Turkey. Me and my friend Lauren for the last 2 years have booked and gone on a last minute holiday. last year we went to cyprus which we booked the week before we went, this year we were alittle more organised and we booked a month before. Both holidays have cost us around 300 pounds each which is amazing. We have never been bothered about the destination, all we want is sun, so therefore we just go to wherever has the best deal. This year it was turkey, we stayed in Gumbet which is just outside Bodrum. This resort is known for being abit more lively but I would defiantly say it wasn't. As this was my first time going to turkey I didnt really know what to expect. I have always thought of turkey as being unsafe and bit run down (don't know why) however this was not the case, the beaches were amazing, the sea water was super clear and the people were so friendly. We managed to get a lovely hotel, it was small with only 50 rooms but it was very modern and clean. One day we went on a boat trip which took us across to camel beach (not sure where this is located), we got to ride camels and jump into the sea and swim with fish. I do have a fear of the sea and swimming with fish was always something I felt scared of (didnt fancy getting my toe sucked by a fish ewwwww) but I managed to get in the water and I'm so glad I did, it was a great experience. The hotel hosted a turkish themed evening, we got to try a lot of the local delicacy and were even made to belly dance. The rest of the time we just relaxed by the pool and sunbathed it was that hot that we had to jump in the pool pretty much ever couple of minutes.

This was a holiday I will always remember and I would definitely return to turkey.

June means one thing. Its time for Glastonbury!!!!

This year is the third year in a row, I have been lucky enough to go to Glastonbury festival. Glastonbury is a 3 day long festival but you are actually there for 5 days in total. This year we had the most incredible weather with so much sunshine. I actually managed to get a tan in the UK. As this was my third Glastonbury I knew exactly what to expect. I went with my friend Kezia who was been to Glastonbury 100s of times, she used to be taken as a child. Although there was only the two of us we meet up with loads of different friends we knew going and also made some new friends. Me and Kezia were casually enjoying florence and the machines headline set when we made friends with a group of 3 boys, not only were these boys in the tent right next us but they lived 10 minutes from us at home. We made good friends and went to see more acts with them over the time at Glastonbury.

Glastonbury is something I think everyone should experience and I have been so so lucky to go three times. I couldn't recommend going enough.

Saturday 30 May 2015

Yay its finally May, My Birthday month!!.

I have been going to several music events already this year. I have just recently been to We R FSTVL. I only went for one day (the Saturday) the line up was crazy this year, so many DJs I've been dying to see. With it being in May the weather is always a bit hit and miss, but we were lucky enough to get some sunshine. The festival is only small and there is no camping but it does go on for two days. I was lucky enough to know someone who lived close by so we just stayed at her house and went to the festival for the day. Everything about the festival was great until we tried to leave. When it came to leaving the festival all hell broke loose, I actually feared for my life. As the festival was in a random field they were supplying shuttle buses back to the close by town. Trying to get onto one of these buses became a nightmare, there were very few buses and we were left waiting for 2 hours. During this time people started fighting and trying to climb onto moving buses as they became frustrated with the long wait. The main issue was there was only one steward that I saw and he was so angry and in the end was shouting for the bus drivers to run people in the way over. It was terrifying. Overall I had a lovely day but the organisation of the exiting of the festival was disappointing and defiantly impacted my experience.

Ok so, I got such an amazing opportunity and was able to do a weeks work placement with Reveal Magazine, in London.

The first day and obviously I was abit worried but I just had to man up and get on with it. As I live in Towcester as small town, by Milton Keynes, it meant I had to join the 1000s of people who commute into London. Leaving my house at 7.30 to arrive in time for the start time of 10 o'clock.

So the placement started and obviously they had me doing the little jobs other people didn't fancy, such as handing out the post etc. But to my surprise they asked me to write an article everyday which is published on there website. I'm not a journalist at all, I have no background in writing but I worked hard and achieved work I'm really proud of and have had some amazing feedback.

The placement was an amazing opportunity and challenged my skills a lot.

Check out my work here:

Monday 30 March 2015

Since coming back from uni for my easter break, I have seen coloured ribbons all around my small town. This campaign has been started by the local people trying to stop a beloved field (local dog walking attraction) being turned into a car park for the new council offices. The plans for this car park were released late after the building work had already started and the people of towcester were assured all parking was to be in the town centre along with up by the local Tesco. The new car park is unnecessary, it will course many issues for people trying to access the housing estate (which I have lived on for almost 20 years now) above it (The Shires). As none of you have heard of Towcester, it's a small town in Northamptonshire, it's a countryside town. It would be really sad to have this beautiful town turned into one massive car park. I thought I would share this with you to see what your thoughts are, I think this campign is truely inspiring and shows how a small community can stand together!

SAY NO TO THE CAR PARK!

Thursday 19 February 2015

Ive been meaning to blog about my amazing new blender for weeks but I've been super busy starting back at uni. I got my Breville 'Blend Active' blender for only £10 meant to be £30 in the sale, what a bargain! Since then I'm smoothie mad. I have a smoothie every morning, no matter what, its great start to my day.

Today I'm having mango, blueberry, strawberry and banana.

I also add coconut water, a splash of orange juice and yogurt.

Then place the blender cup onto the bullet blender and start blending (all the fruit is frozen this way I don't need to add ice).

The blender is effortless, it can blend anything easily (forget having to peel apples for your smoothie, there is no need).

Then remove the cup add the lid and drink. Having the cup as the blender saves washing up and time, I take my cup anywhere, the train, the car to uni. I just love this!

I haven't yet tried to make anything other than smoothies in my blender but I'm sure its good for anything. So if like me you love smoothies defiantly go and get this blender, its amazing!!!

Here is a link to where you can buy the blender: http://www.breville.co.uk/vbl062-blend-active.html
